Job Summary
The post is a one year fixed term 1.0 WTE position for a Senior Research Nurse working predominantly in delivery of research within the Barts T&O team at Barts Health NHS Trust, the Bone & Joint team at Queen Mary's University of London and the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Barts. The purpose of this post is to facilitate recruitment to and the management of the DIRECT Study: Delivery and Implementation of a Randomised Cluster Crossover Trial on Thrombosis (NIHR 159321). DIRECT will determine whether a first-line thromboprophylaxis management strategy including aspirin is non-inferior in terms of clinical effectiveness and safety, and cost-effective, relative to a first-line VTE thromboprophylaxis management strategy including low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) in adults aged over 60 years with a hip fracture.
