Senior PLC Programmer

Givens Machine Systems is currently seeking applications for a Senior PLC Programmer (5 or more years of experience). The bulk of the work required is programming, often with Toyopuc PLC for Toyota assembly plants across Canada and the United States. We also routinely run projects that will use Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens PLCs.

We build machines needing controls and complete all wiring and electrical drawings required in-house. All mechanical design and fabrication is done in-house as well. We provide turnkey solutions to our customers. You would be responsible for meeting with the customer and various departments internally, and then coming up with a program, usually based on an older, similar program from that customer. You would also help commission the machine and debug on-site. You would occasionally complete panel building as well as install field wiring on the machine.
