Senior Platform Engineer for AI-Powered Backend

880 Productions NZ LP is seeking a Senior Developer in Wellington to build and support backend systems and internal platforms for ambitious filmmaking projects. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of software engineering experience, strong skills in Java and Python, and a passion for using AI in development.

This role offers an opportunity to influence architecture decisions while working closely with a small team. The position is designed for a New Zealand resident and will be contracted independently. Collaborative work across teams in New Zealand and Los Angeles is also part of the role.
