Overview

South Kymenlaakso Vocational College is looking for a Senior Officer for the training ship Merikarhu , starting on 10 August 2026 or as agreed. The vessel operates in the eastern Gulf of Finland from Kotka and supports the training of students and partner organizations. The role focuses on student guidance, vessel maintenance, safety, navigation, and bridge operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the vessel and ensure all equipment is functional.
• Organise and conduct safety drills on board.
• Navigate the vessel and operate bridge equipment.
• Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a learning environment that is safe and effective.
