Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Emergency General Surgery

Job summary
This post is to join our Trauma department for a fixed term 12 month contract with opportunity to extend only for 1 Year, subject to agreement from both parties.

The SCF will be responsible for the day to day management of patients on the Trauma ward, maintain regular contact with the on call General Surgery consultant (and other speciality consultants where required), liaises closely with them about the management plan for each patient.

Main duties of the job
The SCF will be expected to cooperate with, instruct, teach and supervise other doctors of the Firm at SpR, JCF, SHO, F1/F2 level in their clinical work and audit activity of the unit. The Department is proactively involved with student teaching and regular student teaching is mandatory for the SCF.
