Senior Analytical Scientist, Pharmacy Laboratory

Role Overview

The Senior Analytical Scientist will be involved in laboratory activities, lead research and development, and support the quality assurance activities as required or assigned.

Technical Duties

• Provide quality examination and reporting of routine/non‑routine samples and seizure exhibits in a timely manner.
• Supervise and provide advice to junior scientists and laboratory officers on standard and investigative cases, ensuring cases meet turn‑around‑time (TAT).
• Lead assigned research and development projects, and carry out method optimisation and validation studies.
• Review and improve testing procedures, quality control measures, and work processes to optimise throughput whilst maintaining analytical integrity.
• Provide expert testimony in court.
