We are partnering with a venture capital firm in Palo Alto, CA to identify a proactive and business-minded Senior Accountant for a long-term contract opportunity. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office and two days remote.
The ideal candidate will have strong fund accounting experience, a hands-on approach to the month-end close, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across the finance team. This individual will also help oversee an outsourced accounts payable provider, ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing and payment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules.
+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
+ Perform detailed balance sheet and bank reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.
