Senior Accountant Position

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join an accounting firm. Must have a B Com: Accounting, completed articles, Pastel and Caseware experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
• Cashbook entries, journal postings and month end procedures
• Creditors and debtor’s reconciliation
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Reconcile VAT reports to the GL and submit VAT returns
• Cashflow statements
• Management accounts
• Provisional tax calculations
• Compile AFS and tax computations for Close Corporations, Companies, Trusts and Sole proprietors on Caseware; including all accounting work, recon of balance sheet accounts
• Submit annual tax returns for Close corporations and Private companies
• Plan jobs and supervise team members
• Manage and assist Junior Accountants
• Assist the Partners in the fulfilment of their dut...
