Security Engineer to lead team supporting large cybersecurity initiative with client in the public sector

Location: Hamilton, ON

Work Model: HYBRID - Two days onsite (Tuesday and Wednesday). Starting in the new year, the schedule will alternate between two days onsite, then three days, and back to two days, and so on.

Hours: 35/Week

Contract: 3 months + extension

We are looking for a hands-on Security Engineer on a contractual basis to join our security team and oversee day-to-day security operations. 

Responsibilities:

Support security tools and systems across environments

Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents

Troubleshoot issues across security platforms and detections

Provide coverage across multiple security domains

Support GRC initiatives and security architecture efforts

Help define and execute security priorities and improvements

Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
