Purpose and Scope
The purpose of this position is to perform the full range of inspections, maintenance, repair and operation of all assigned security barrier equipment that physically supports airfield operations, base facilities and security posts.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions, including:
- Ordering parts
- Installing, programming, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing barriers and operational systems
- Executing recurring scheduled preventive maintenance and non‑recurring maintenance as required
- Managing hazardous materials and waste and ensuring environmental compliance in their handling and disposal
- Executing complete replacement of barrier systems when necessary
