Job Description
Summary The Secretary (OA) is located in the Dental Service of the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The incumbent serves as a primary administrative support, performing a wide variety of clerical and office duties. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Receives incoming calls from patients, clients, staff, and others in need of information. Processes incoming and outgoing materials, including correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other written communications. Edits letters, composes letters and reports, reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness, establishes and monitors suspense dates, prepares public presentation outlines, and develops standard or form letters. Schedules meetings and maintains a calendar of appointments. Performs office automation work on a personal computer using multiple programs to complete documentation.
