Scientist/Researcher - Carbon Capture Team

CoLAB NET4CO2 is seeking a highly qualified Engineer/Researcher to join our Capture team. This team aims the development and assessment of effective technologies for the capture of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from large emission sources, such as industrial plants or/ and directly from air. This field complements Carbon Utilization technologies, and their integration can result in significant reductions in global CO emissions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory-based and analytical work to support process understanding, including chemical characterization, degradation studies, and validation of experimental data.
• Conduct and interpret chemical analyses such as FTIR spectroscopy, titrations, and complementary techniques for process monitoring and solvent characterization.
• Evaluate solvent performance in CO capture systems, including determination of CO loading in MEA and assessment of solvent ageing and degradation mechanisms.
