Bachelor's degree in Transportation and Urban Planning, or a related field or any combination of education and experience that equals four (4) years in transportation scheduling or planning.
Some knowledge of the principles and practices of transportation planning and scheduling.
Good analytical and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Good math skills, specifically statistical analysis.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to analyze performance data, prepare reports, and make presentations.
Ability to learn and use scheduling software.
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit, for extended periods of time.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to operate a vehicle.
Must be willing to travel within Metra’s 6-county region.
