Responsibilities Conducts safety and occupational health surveys for DLA Distribution San Joaquin California, recommends measures to eliminate or control hazardous practices and conditions which may cause mishaps. Prepares supplemental written safety procedures for application to local organizational components. Performs inspections of the installation to determine compliance with environmental, occupational, health and safety laws and regulations. Identifies hazards and assesses their potential for harm to employees and provides technical assistance to managers and supervisors necessary to achieve safe and healthful working conditions. Performs periodic onsite surveys for assigned organizations; inspects construction projects and designs to determine compliance with applicable environmental, occupational, health, and safety standards.
