SABES Instructional Coach (Center for Educational Outreach) - #Staff

The Whiting School of Engineering's STEM Achievement in Baltimore Elementary Schools (SABES) is seeking a **_SABES Instructional Coach_** who will support the implementation of the SABES program by providing instructional modeling and coaching to afterschool facilitators, to increase their confidence and capacity to teach the engineering design process in-person in afterschool for 3-5th graders. SABES is deeply committed to locating STEM within the world of the children we serve, rather than asking them to journey to the world of the scientist or engineer.

This role will be responsive to questions, proactive with guidance, communicate with the students regularly, and will mentor the students as they work. During the in-person sessions, Instructional Facilitators will implement provided lesson plans, aiming to engage students by getting them to think and participate rather than being lectured to.
