Ontario's Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) is one of the largest and most complex public safety radio networks in North America, covering approximately 750,000 km² of area. It serves more than 38,000 front‑line and emergency responders, such as police officers, fire staff, and ambulance paramedics, providing the radio communications technology, equipment, and other resources needed to keep Ontarians safe. Responders use this technology to communicate with dispatchers and one another when responding to emergencies.

The Emergency Services Telecommunications Division (ESTD) under the Ministry of Solicitor General has undertaken an ambitious project to upgrade the PSRN system.
