Occupational Therapist – Burns, Plastics and Paediatrics (Maternity Cover)

Full‑time, fixed term maternity cover until August 2027. This role is part of the Burns, Plastics and Paediatrics team at Counties Manukau District Health Board.

Remuneration is based on the PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for patients with burn injuries, plastic surgery, paediatric conditions and scar management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including hand therapy and splinting, to promote functional recovery and independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and speech therapists, to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in the National Burn Centre’s tutorial and in‑service programme, supporting continuous professional development for yourself and colleagues.
