Requirements

• NQF level 1 qualification or (Abet level 4 certificate or equivalent). No work experience required.
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine road construction and maintenance activities according to approved programmes and safety standards.
• Carry out pothole patching, crack sealing, surfacing and re‑graveling of roads.
• Construct, repair and maintain road earthworks, culverts, side drains, stormwater drainage systems, ditches, outlets and concrete channels.
• Clean and maintain road reserves, sidewalks, drainage structures, rest areas and other road infrastructure.
• Install, replace, repair and clean road traffic signs, road markings, delineators and other road furniture.
