RN - Surgical ICU (Full Time, 36, Day/Night, Multiple Openings)

Scope of Service
Queen Emma Tower 4 SICU is an all private room 11 bed unit with designated isolation rooms (2). The unit operates on a 24 hour basis, with 24 hour Intensive coverage.
QET 4C SICU provides care for pediatric (age between 28 days and 17 years old) and adult patients. Most frequent diagnoses include: multiple trauma and high risk and critically ill surgical patients. QET 4C SICU also provides care to overflow medical, neuroscience, and cardiac ICU patients.
Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for coordinating clinical care of patient. Integrates all health care providers to ensure high quality patient/family outcomes, and establishes a consistent and accountable relationship with patient/family. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, initiation and development of the plan of care, patient/family education, utilization management and discharge planning.
