Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment.
• Manage the patient's pain, including epidural and patient-controlled analgesia administration.
• Assist physician during delivery, treatment, examination and surgical procedures.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Provide patient and family education on labor, pain and newborn care.
