Job Overview
The primary responsibility is to support deck operations on the client platform as per company processes and procedure and demonstrate safety leadership and continuous development in all aspects of crane, lifting and support service activities.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all lifts onshore or offshore as directed by the Crane Supervisor, Deck Foreman or client personnel where required.
- Carry out Banking/Signalman duties as and when required.
- Attaching and detaching the load to and from the crane.
- Select the correct lifting arrangement in accordance with planned lifting operations and check them before use.
- Ensure lifting equipment is in good condition, certified for use, correctly colour coded, and of sufficient capacity to carry out the lift.
- Directing and movement of the crane/load is initiated by the Rigger/slinger using the designated signalling method.
