Respiratory Therapist II

Overview

This is an advanced technical position providing Calgary-wide clinical assistance to Anesthesiologists both in the operating room and in off‑site surgical facilities. The Respiratory Therapist II will work collaboratively with the operating room team to perform and assist with advanced respiratory procedures such as airway management, laryngoscopy, endotracheal intubation, drug preparation, peripheral venous cannulation, blood salvaging, arterial line insertion, and arterial blood gas sampling and analysis for patients requiring or under anesthesia. You will also be responsible for daily set‑up and verification of anesthetic machines and equipment. Demonstrated professional development, interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, critical‑thinking skills, ability to manage competing priorities, self‑direction, independent decision‑making, and conflict resolution, as well as promotion of a healthy, respectful, and safe work environment are required.
