The role provides the opportunity to become multi‑skilled and increase knowledge by working in a variety of clinical areas. It includes clinical education, coaching and support from competent to expert levels.

The Starship paediatric VIS nurses are part of a resource team allocated to areas of Starship Hospital to respond to high demand situations on an as‑needed basis or to fill staffing gaps.
