Description
New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Research Scientist to investigate gene expression in circadian neural networks. The successful applicant will use a combination of molecular and electrophysiological approaches to investigate how gene expression contributes to the rhythms in excitability and plasticity of circadian clock neurons in rodents . The project will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will be co-supervised by Dipesh Chaudhury and Justin Blau.

Responsibilities:
Perform single cell gene expression from mice brain nuclei and single cell data analysis

Stereotaxic surgeries for circuit tracing and silencing specific genes

Perform slice electrophysiology and data analysis using Clampfit

Bulk RNA sequencing and data analysis

Mice behavioral experiments using wheel running, PIR etc.

Mice brain immunohistochemistry
