Job Description
Overview
The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore in Geneva would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for a full-time contract position of a Research Officer/Translator.
Responsibilities
- Research Work
- Monitor daily local newspapers and media and prepare daily press reports.
- Conduct online research and prepare reports where required.
- Follow local media conferences/media briefings/announcements from the government and international agencies and file reports.
- Translation/Interpretation
- Translate into English relevant news articles from local and foreign language newspapers for the daily press reports.
- Translate incoming mail from French/German into English, and vice-versa where necessary.
- Provide interpretation support at meetings and events.
