Research Engineer - Advanced AI Solutions for safety-critical systems (RE1)

The High-Performance Embedded Systems (HPES) laboratory aims at enabling the adoption of hardware, software, and artificial intelligent (AI) high-performance solutions in embedded systems as its center of gravity, but also in any system with some form of criticality, like cars, airplanes, and satellites. Our work is mainly carried out in the context of bilateral projects with several processor companies as well as several European-funded projects.



The objective of this position is to work in AI techniques embedded systems with some level of criticality covering from techniques to improve input data, AI models, and AI model deployment to achieve specific functional and non-functional requirements. The student is expected to enroll or be enrolled in an AI Master Program in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
