Rehabilitation Assistant (Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy)

Salary

The salary range for this position is CAD $32.84 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Under the operational supervision of the Program Manager and the practice supervision of the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Practice Coordinators, carry out established rehabilitative activities in both OT and PT scopes of practice.
• Receive assignments and implement lower‑risk interventions related to the clinical aspects of OT/PT care plans.
• Demonstrate and teach therapeutic activities, adapting devices to enable residents to maximize independence.
• Provide functional direction to residents and family, and assist with practicing daily living skills.
• Report observations of resident progress and behaviors, and provide direction to volunteers.
• Organize and clean equipment and supplies for activities, and maintain an inventory of supplies.
