Regulatory Engineer - Auto Safety & Policy Advisor

Responsibilities

• Advise GM personnel, technical staff, government relations/public policy staff, and management on global environmental, emissions, vehicle safety, autonomous vehicle, dangerous-goods transportation, and substances-of-concern laws and regulations.
• Represent GM before federal and state authorities, agencies, administrative tribunals, and courts in regulatory matters and disputes.
• Review proposed laws and regulations, and provide legal advice in support of efforts to influence rulemaking and lawmaking.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Mexican regulations.
• Integrity, government relations and negotiations.
• Knowledge of vehicle components.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Organized, generate new ideas within the team, person of integrity, initiative.
