Registered Practical Nurse, Full Time, Transitional Care Centre

As a member of an inter‑professional team and working under full scope of practice, the role of the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Providence Care is to deliver safe, effective, patient‑centred care to assigned patients in a non‑acute setting as outlined by hospital policies and procedures and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario. The RPN will assist patients and their caregivers to manage clinical conditions and transitions and enhance quality of life by meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each person.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license to practice with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR certificate
• College certificate required, diploma preferred
• Medication certificate dated after 1985 which meets the requirements of the Ontario College of Nurses, if graduated before 1985
