Registered Nurse (Procedure Clinic)

Summary The Outpatient Procedure Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based outpatient care to patients. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction. This position is aligned under Nursing Service. Responsibilities The Minor Procedure RN delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing surgical and endoscopic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. Partners with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum, including the Veteran's goals of care. The Minor Procedure RN provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement.
