Registered Nurse (Oncology)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join our Mercy Cancer Care team working at our oncology clinic in Invercargill. In this role, you will work on‑site providing safe, effective and evidence‑based nursing care centred around excellent patient care.

This is a permanent role offered at 0.4FTE, reporting to and working closely with the Mercy Cancer Care team in Dunedin to support local chemotherapy delivery, reducing the need for patients to travel to Dunedin.

Specific Duties

• Provide optimum patient care in accordance with Mercy Hospital Shared Purpose and Values
• Maintain a current Nursing Council of New Zealand practising certificate
• Ensure patient‑centred care based on comprehensive patient assessment
• Comply with all relevant nursing legislation, policies and regulations
• Manage resources efficiently and effectively to meet patient health care needs
