Registered Nurse – General Surgery Outpatient Clinics

Full-time or part-time roles (Regular Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts) with occasional extension to support clinic demands. Schedule flexibly within 8:00am‑5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a general surgery outpatient setting.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in the pre‑admission clinic, educate patients and whānau about surgical journey and plan of care.
• Co‑ordinate pre‑operative requirements and identify and escalated clinical risks.
• Independently manage complex wound care and dressing changes, ensuring safe and efficient treatment.
• Collaborate with general surgeons, trainee doctors, nurse specialists, and support staff to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
