About the role:
The Regional Operations Leader plays a major role in the day to day running of Aurizon's Melbourne rail operations by providing frontline leadership to enable the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of train services to our customers.
- Champion a safety culture to promote our “I know SAFE I choose SAFE” approach.
- Manage allocated yard and traincrew operations.
- Implement business improvement initiatives to reduce asset cycle times and improve train payloads.
- Provide active crewing levels to support the provision of rostering and scheduling services.
- Build positive workplace relationships with allocated team including setting and monitoring of performance standards and behavioural standards.
