Radiometric Metrologist – Somerset West
A renowned Manufacturing Engineering company is looking for a Radiometric Metrologist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Helderberg Area.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the accuracy and reliability of aerospace measurement instruments through precise calibration and maintenance.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Astronomy, Industrial Physics
1 – 3 years of experience in a relevant engineering field
Experience in spectral & radiometric measurements
Handling and Adjusting Delicate Instruments
Proficiency in Spectroscopy Concepts
Microsoft Office
Python Software
Understanding of radiometric principles
Proficiency in sensor calibration technique
Knowledge of traceability standards
Familiarity with optical payloads & data
Ability to interpret sensor specifications & performance metrics
