Investigate the security of practical implementations of quantum key distribution Protocols

Functions to be performed:

• Read scientific literature in the field of quantum communication and quantum key distribution (QKD) systems.
• Develop both analytical and numerical security tests of quantum key distribution protocols with a partial characterisation of the behaviour of their devices.
• Perform numerical simulations on the performance (i.e. secret key rate versus distance) of these systems.
• Participate in seminars and scientific meetings.
• Write scientific articles.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar

Gross monthly salary: 2.250,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
