Job Description
Temporary Public Health Inspector
Start date: August 3, 2026 (or as agreed). Contract duration: until at least October 22, 2026, with likely extension.
Primary duties include inspections in accordance with food and tobacco legislation, as well as health protection law inspections as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of food and tobacco establishments.
- Perform health protection law inspections.
- Tailor duties to the selected candidate’s skills and interests.
- Assist with statutory environmental health and veterinary tasks for the municipalities of Karkkila, Lohja, Siuntio, and Vihti.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education degree in line with health protection law 297/2021 §7 and food law 763/1994 §32.
- Proficiency in Finnish; satisfactory knowledge of Swedish.
