PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Public Affairs Office, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Headquarters. Responsibilities You will assist the Director and Deputy Director for Public Affairs and Communication in the oversight, direction, and management of NAVFAC's internal and external information program. You will act as an advisor to NAVFAC lower echelon public affairs officers on matters pertaining to public and employee information, and provides support and reach-back as required to ensure mission accomplishment. You will maintain effective working relationships with officials of various trade associations, news media, Navy and Marine Corps affiliated organizations, veteran groups, and Department of Defense personnel.
