Psychiatrist or Youth Psychiatry Specialist Doctor

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a psychiatrist or youth psychiatry specialist for Joensuu or Mikkeli service points, starting from September1 or as agreed. The position is permanent and full‑time or part‑time according to your preference. Work can be done remotely, from the service point, or in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders.
• Prepare treatment and rehabilitation plans based on test results.
• Offer consultation to general practitioners, psychiatric nurses, health nurses, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Support student referrals mainly under general practitioner supervision when initial treatments by nurses or psychologists are insufficient.
