Job Summary:

The Psych Care Tech – Psyche Acute is responsible for performing regularly scheduled duties as a member of a team in the care and treatment of clients of ages appropriate to the unit, following established methods and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Completes accurate admission records, set up rooms, orient clients to unit and assist them as needed.
Regularly monitors clients in need of close observation per physician orders and policy and procedure.
Reports to team leader or charge nurse any observations or charges in symptomology.
Using knowledge of etiology of side effects from medications, observes and reports findings in a timely manner.
Understands the parameters of normal vital signs and reports abnormal findings to team leader.
Monitors the personal hygiene of clients and assist with completion of ADL’s routinely.
