Teaching Assistant – SEMH Needs

Prospero teaching are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Clifton. The school works with students with behavioural challenges and mental health issues. The school caters for pupils who have an educational plan to receive their education in a specialist provision, due to their learning needs. It takes pupils who have been identified that mainstream education isn’t the right setting for them. The pupils are age 14-16 years old KS4 secondary all with EHCP plans and additional needs. These pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect or chaotic home life, or all of these things.
Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act as a mentor and role model for the students.
