Project Manager, Capital (5-year term)

Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects, the Projects Manager, Capital Projects functions as part of the Capital Projects team under the Business Services department. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementation, and completion of major capital projects. The work involves applying project management and technical knowledge to new school construction, expansion schools, and seismic upgrade projects.

Major Responsibilities

Manages assigned projects from start to completion ensuring contract compliance for satisfactory project completion. Ensures project completion is on time and within the authorized budget.

Liaises with architects, consultants, contractors, municipal authorities, and school administrators to ensure that the Districts interests and needs of the School Board are being met.
