Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate with Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice R425 (Diploma / Degree in nursing as a Professional Nurse).
• Post Basic Qualification with the duration of at least 1 year accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R212 in the relevant specialty (Ophthalmic Nursing Science).
• Post basic qualification, with at least 4 years’ appropriate experience in Nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
• At least one year post basic nursing qualification in Ophthalmic Nursing Science.
• Registration certificate with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
