Job Description
The Production Planner plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of more sophisticated models of industrial or commercial products. Prepares timeline to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data of smaller departments and work centers to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Plan and schedule workflow for Production Operations and departments according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects and special orders. The Planner 2 role will monitor the less involved project orders with lower profile and/or smaller dollar impact.
