Production Engineer – Derby
We're working with a well‑established engineering business in the rail sector that's expanding and looking to appoint a Production Engineer to support their growing operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, streamlining workflow and keeping production running efficiently across both workshop and mobile engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily workloads across departments and engineering teams
- Allocate labour to maximise output and efficiency
- Reduce downtime and remove workflow bottlenecks
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives
- Provide technical support around coatings, repairs and surface preparation
- Ensure work meets customer specifications and quality requirements
