Production Associate I - Afternoon Shift

Position Overview

The Production Associate I supports the production process by performing duties related to cleaning, finishing, washing and packaging BWXT components. Employees may specialize in one area or perform in all areas.

Your Day To Day

• Move components from one operation to the next using material handling equipment.
• Move parts using a forklift or crane as required; certification must be held.
• Perform light deburring work on stainless steel parts for small cell components with hand tools.
• Lubricate parts with a cloth and powdery substance.
• Clean parts with acetone per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Package stainless steel parts following SOPs for each part.
• Mark parts using the electro-chemical etch process, Dot Peen or Vibro Pen as required.
• Organize and inventory parts to ensure preparedness for next operations.
