Principal Medical Specialist

Job Overview

The Principal Medical Specialist interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex medical‑related problems and work independently with minimal guidance. They may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and are regarded as a subject matter expert in the Medical field. As such, they must have in‑depth expertise in medical and broad knowledge of the medical discipline within the Health Safety Environment Security function.

Responsibilities

• Discuss injury and incidents with key personnel
• Follow up on medivac and medical referral cases and provide medical updates to key personnel
• Coordinate with key personnel Director of Health and Industrial Medicine regarding the final disposition of medical cases referred onshore pertaining to fitness to return to work and further medical treatment or recuperation
