Principal Engineer - Telecommunications - Data Centers (Colombia)

AECOM EC is seeking a talented Principal Engineer – Telecommunications Engineer (Data Centers) to join our office in Bogota, Colombia. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the tech sector and telecommunications industry, with a deep understanding of the demands for scale, speed, and consistency in data network operations.

Responsibilities

• Design Telecom Systems for Data Networks: develop and implement Telecom system designs tailored to network operations, including Structured Cabling, Wireless Network, IP Telephony, Grounding and Bonding for Telecom. Ensure designs prioritize reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Telecom Equipment Selection: identify and specify telecom equipment such as Switches, Servers, Wireless Devices and passive infrastructure. Ensure equipment meets operational requirements and adheres to safety standards.
