Primary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a committed, resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Primary Pupil Referral Unit, supporting children who have experienced significant barriers to education and who require a specialist, nurturing environment to help them re-engage with learning.

Our pupils may present with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. Some have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, disrupted education, or difficulties regulating their emotions. Behaviour can at times be challenging, and no two days are ever the same.

This role is not for everyone.

We are looking for someone who can remain calm when others are not, build positive relationships with children who may initially reject support, and see beyond behaviour to understand the unmet needs driving it.
