Postdoctoral researcher in multimodal AI for population health

The Machine Learning for Health team at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The project involves building and studying multimodal health trajectories on a nationwide scale using Finnish health data from 7 million individuals, including medication purchases, laboratory measurements, clinical notes, and imaging. The role includes designing machine learning models for large-scale health datasets, collaborating with international teams, and contributing to scientific publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, machine learning, or related fields.
• Experience with Python, Linux HPC environments, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

Compensation and Duration

• Position duration: 2 years.
• Salary: approximately €3,900–4,100 per month.
