Job Description

About the Position

A three‑year postdoctoral research fellowship in the research group of Prof. Andreas Carlson, Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo. The position starts no later than December 1, 2026 and is funded by the Research Council of Norway within two projects on soft‑hairy surfaces for flow control and vibration‑based soft robots. It seeks a candidate motivated by fundamental science and interested in actively controlled surfaces in soft robotics, sensing, and flow control.

The fellow will conduct research, submit a professional development plan within one month of commencement, and perform associated administrative duties. The successful applicant is expected to complete the project within the employment period.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be among the upper segment of their class in academic credentials.
